It's 1750's colonial America where the supernatural is definitely real (like the Odyssey is historical, bad historiographymaybe, but some version of the events are real.)
People know all this but try really fucking hard to block the magical out of their lives.Evey Lockharthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01813833983204101337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5700604651940160467.post-201558148116774042014-10-28T12:48:48.701-04:002014-10-28T12:48:48.701-04:00Exactly! The Fae kidnap people, make them their toys/pets/slaves. They leave behind a magical copy known as a fetch.
People that are beautiful for a human or have beautiful talents like singing or dancing are kidnapped and turned into fairest so their Fae keeper can look upon them like admiring their own art or listen to their melodies or watch them danceArgol228https://www.blogger.com/profile/13006685776115893432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5700604651940160467.post-55457356496549475412014-10-28T00:41:13.742-04:002014-10-28T00:41:13.742-04:00The Diabolists sounds reprehensibly horrible and t...The Diabolists sounds reprehensibly horrible and therefore a great deal of fun!

It's interesting: when I was reworking elves for my LotFP campaign, I too made up a chart where traits became more pronounced the more times the traits were rolled.

I was trying for more of a changeling, frightening fairy-tail thing, though. Sort of a mix of surreally exaggerated human features, animal stuff, and ethereal beauty... Also these elves eat wizards' brains and other elves' hearts to gain more spells.

http://violentmediarpg.blogspot.com/2014/06/elves-just-got-weird-yall.htmlEvey Lockharthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01813833983204101337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5700604651940160467.post-21998323006731424842014-10-27T20:56:52.880-04:002014-10-27T20:56:52.880-04:00That rocks Dave. I've been struggling with how to handle demihumans in my own campaign milieu, bouncing between eliminating/replacing them with other classes and simply trying to reflavor them into something that I feel comfortable with.
